Eastern Shore of Virginia Rehabilitation Program

The Accomack-Northampton Regional Housing Authority and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Housing Alliance are preparing to implement housing improvement programs within Accomack and Northampton Counties, the Indoor Plumbing Rehabilitation Flex Program and the Eastern Shore of Virginia Rural Homeownership Rehabilitation Program, both of which will use federal HOME Funds. These programs will result in procurement opportunities from contractors licensed in building remodeling, demolition, and well and septic installation. Also, jobs in the following trades may become available: masons, carpenters, roofers, plumbers, electricians, drywallers, and laborers. 

In carrying out these programs, the above agencies, its contractors and subcontractors will, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize qualified businesses and persons residing within Accomack and Northampton Counties for procurement. employment, and training posIt1ons. All projects will be competitively bid and all openings will be listed with the local office of the Virginia Employment Commission, 25036 Lankford Highway, Onley VA.
All above referenced procurements will be made on a competitive basis. Information received from persons seeking jobs or from businesses providing services will be provided to all general contractors as part of the procurement process. Written request should include your name, address, telephone number, and product or service you propose to provide.
